48 Hours In Cape Town With @lisadanielle__

Follow us to Cape Town with our girl Lisa Smith and Jamie Green as they spend 48 hours exploring this jaw dropping destination

Day 1 ~Spell Spell Spell Spell Spell Spell

We arrived on a beautiful sunny morning to our Villa in Camps Bay! The friendly owners welcomed us and took us to our room, with a beautiful view of Lions Head Mountain & the overlooking the ocean. They gave us a few tips and said the area we were staying in was quite safe (which was nice to hear!).

We strolled down to check out the local beaches/coves in this area, think blue (but freezing) water, colourful umbrellas & good vibes!! We then walked down to the main strip where we had lunch at Codfather – easily some of the best seafood we’ve ever tasted! It’s similar to a market place where you go up & choose the exact seafood you would like and then they then cook it for you! It was amazing.

After exploring the beaches all day we ended up back at a beach close to our Villa and we found a sweet little spot on the rocks and enjoyed some sundowners with lots of locals & music!! The sunset over the ocean was incredible.

Day 2 ~ Spell Spell Spell Spell Spell Spell Spell Spell

We knew we would wake up early with Jetlag, so we figured we would make the most of this and drive to Boulders Beach at sunrise to see the penguin colony! We drove along the Chapmans Peak Drive, it was so so breathtaking. Yes going to see the penguins is probably really touristy – but we couldn’t help ourselves! Who doesn’t want to see penguins in the wild! One hour later we arrived and we were the only people there, there is a main platform you can view the penguins from – but we also went to the beach to the right of this and climbed over some rocks to get closer to the penguins! They were SO adorable! Spell Spell Spell

We made the drive through some beautiful wine regions on the way back (I’ve heard the wineries here are amazing! Next time we will visit for sure). We drove back into the city and made a quick visit to the colourful little streets of Bo Kaap. That afternoon we found a local spot up on a mountain to watch the sunset – what a vista! The next day we drove out to Akademie – I will let the pictures talk for themselves, this boutique hotel was a dream! Follow the journey in Part 2 here.
